Little Miss HISTORY Travels to INTREPID
by: Barbara Ann Mojica
Illustrations: Victor Ramon Mojica
We’ve been waiting for children’s author Barbara Ann Mojica’s fifth addition to her ‘Little Miss HISTORY Travels’ series and we are thoroughly delighted with the new installment.
In “Little Miss HISTORY Travels to INTREPID Sea, Air & Space Museum” Author Mojica’s ‘Miss HISTORY’ introduces kids to some of America’s military conflicts through the telling of the illustrious past of the USS INTREPID. The famous attack carrier, which was first commissioned in August of 1943, took part in the fighting during World War II, the Vietnam War, and even in the years of the Cold War. Fascinating facts about US naval history, the men who served aboard and the INTREPID’s role after the 9/11 attacks in New York City are sure to captivate young readers’ interest and stimulate a quest for more.
Happily, as in the previous four volumes of ‘Miss HISTORY’, illustrator Victor Ramon Mojica wielded his magic and combined photography and drawings to create an extraordinary canvas for the author’s text. Great team work!
I highly and warmly recommend this book as well as the first four in the series
